Australian Capital Territory – Chemical User accreditation

Australian Capital Territory – Chemical User accreditation

In the Australian Capital Territory, you need to have an environmental authorisation to use pesticides, herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, bactericides, baits, lures, and rodenticides. Moreover, under the Workplace Health and Safety Act 2011, anyone who uses hazardous chemicals must have the relevant training. See below for more information:

Environmental Authorisation

In the Australian Capital Territory, the ACT Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) administers environmental authorisations for weed spraying. You are required to hold an environmental authorisation to spray weeds for commercial purposes. To obtain an environmental authorisation for weed control, you are expected to have completed the standard competency units covered in our chemical course.

OUR CHEMICAL COURSE COVERS THE THREE UNITS REQUIRED TO APPLY FOR AN ENVIRONMENTAL AUTHORISATION IN THE AUSTRALIAN CAPITAL TERRITORY
